Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. The university is renowned as the pioneer of modern research of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants and is the recipient of many awards at the national level and international. She has worked with a variety of organisations and governments across the world on research and policies relating to children who are people who are victims of the law. She serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 57). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
